I love asymmetric games, and other than Summoner Wars, Yomi and BattleCon are the absolute top of the line. I find both games to be fantastic and I would never give up either one of them.

Yomi has a very strong bluffing aspect to it that allows someone like me (who is better at reading his opponent than evaluating cards) to actually reliably win matches. The dynamic of psyching your opponent out when you actually have a hand of garbage is an amazing experience. Reading people is a skill that I naturally have, and being able to use it in a game that doesn't involve betting actual money is AWESOME!

BattleCon on the other hand is a perfect information game. While there are aspects of bluffing to it, it feels more like a test of skill to me. I am not very strong in valuation, so I tend to lose basically every match. (but it's so well balanced through rigorous playtesting that I only lose by 5 health or less). I can FEEL myself get better with each character as I play them, and I actually feel like I am developing a skill when I play.

All of that being said, I think that Battlecon is the better value as there is more in the box and more variability overall. It is WAY cheaper and I like Brad's business model and ethics more than I do Sirlin's.
