I do know who michael is - but was still confused :)

So, I did a bit of research, and found the pdf rules for TEK which has a section called "Playing with 2-Players" that does say "Players cannot form an alliance in a 2 player game."

However, in going back through the UTEK rules on page 30 there is a similar section called "2 Player Variant: The Lost Kingdom"

I had never read that section for UTEK, since I didn't want to learn a "variant" of the game, until I understood the base game.

The first sentence seems to clarify these are indeed the general 2 player rules though by saying "To play with 2 players..."

Hi Łukasz,

I still need the final files.
Which for some reason takes the manufacturer a long time to figure out. But we'll get there.. and it'll be announced through the Selz online shop app, so everyone who has the PnP files will get the free downloads.

I enjoy seeing what you've created this far with it all - so can't wait to see some 3D printed models :)
Best regards Emil

So, is there any rule about running out of cards of a certain value?

Last night, we ran out of 4¢ cards. Didn't affect the game much, but I could see where it might get problematic if we'd run out of, say 3¢ cards as well, etc.

Maybe it'll sort itself once we get everybody up to speed and spelling longer words...

It can happen...people just need to spell words that give them a different value:)

Once a stack is exhausted, it's just gone from the game.

Hi Maeglin,

Good questions!

1.) No, you don't need to spend all 20 points. For example you can spend 18 points for 6 Ranged Attack pips and discard the rest for 5 skills including 1 elite skill.

2.) No! A hex is a hex, an enchantment is an enchantment. While both are created by magic, they are different effects that are affected by skills with the according keyword.

Kind regards,
Kai

Hallo, gibts zufälligerweise irgendwelche Neuigkeiten zum deutschen Release? :)

Tim sagt, dass das Schiff mit der deutschen Version um den 22. herum in Deutschland ankommen sollte. Ich denke, dass es nicht mehr lange dauern wird.

Und wo kann man es dann kaufen?

Danke

The good news if they are gone from the offer, they are mostly in your decks. The game should be ending about then.

It doesn't effect the war cost, but if you win the war then the dummy tower would get removed(and their tower level drops by 1).

Okay. Thanks, Kai!
That will help with my defense-heavy Commander!
So when certain skills say "Remove your newest enchantment", that's a negative effect to the character activating it? Removing hexes would be good, removing enchantments, not to good.
The price of power, I guess!

Chris - having just woken up to the fact that you've designed a number of PnP games which I want to explore, I have a wider question: is there a UK or European equivalent to GameCrafter? I ask because it's the shipping that kills it.

There are some other (originally) PnP games that might benefit such as Wipers Salient. You could then license to GameCrafter for US sales and an EU/UK equivalent for sales over here. Given the decline in physical print there must be a local printer who'd see the opportunity. Is this ever discussed amongst UK PnP games designers?

I'd like to attach them to some blank dice I have for my altoids version.

You can use the images out of the file for the PnP edition here otherwise there isn't any other file specifically for this.

Page 4 of this file might be useful to you though.

i would have sworn that they were available in PNG format in the Files section, but i'm not seeing them. You can, however, get vector-graphics ones by importing the PnP PDF of the ship into Inkscape, which does a perfect job of converting the dice faces to SVG. i have copies locally, and sent a PM to Tony asking for permission to upload them to the file area, but never heard from him, so i can't (under the BGG terms of service) post them.

What i can do, though, is give you a PNG format in the form of a screenshot...

I thought they were there as well Stephan, I made some vector ones of my own from using various tools as well but didn't post them for the reasons you stated.

I didn't think to use Inkscape though. Nice tip!
