Mark, these changes sound interesting. Nice way to up the difficulty and add some replayability. I'll mention these ideas to the publisher to see if they want to consider them during development.

Hello,

After my first game of 5 players I'd like to ask two short questions:

1) Can you declare a counteraction having no spice? I mean what happens if you do so and someone challenges you only to find out you're bluffing? This means that you literally lost the challenge, and are supposed to pay the penalty... If not, then losing challenges while counteracting would have a serious advantage and difference in rules than doing the same while performing special actions, which specifically requires having the spice for a penalty.

2) Is there any way for the spice to be returned to Arrakis? During both of our two games there was a moment mid-game when there was no spice left in reserve and around 20-30 spice on the Golden Lion Throne, which turned some basic actions (trade, harvest) useless. Is this intentional? Or maybe we just fought one another for too long, exhausting the entire planet?

Hey there Kickers! Welcome to another week of Kick The Table. I've been sick for the majority of the week, spending 4 days in bed. It sounds more awesome than it was, trust me. As such, I haven't really had a chance to play much. My D&D 5e Player's Handbook did arrive this week though and I rolled up a Monk and joined a band of Dragonborn on the first chapter of The Hoard of the Dragon Queen. It was fun, I'm really enjoying playing with RPGs at the moment. I wish I was at a place in life where I could play more regularly. I need to get my kids into it :)

Right now there are 254 live Kickstarter Campaigns in the Tabletop Games category (up 5 from last week). Of those, 117 (46%) have already reached their funding goal. 64 (25.2%) have related BGG pages that I can find.

Before we get to those though, there are a couple of campaigns that I wanted to highlight that don't have related BGG pages:

:star: Pipmen - are playing cards, not a game. The cool thing about this deck of cards is that every card has a unique illustration on it showing the lives of little "pipmen". But that isn't even the coolest thing. The coolest thing is that ALL of the illustrated crads in the deck can be combined into a single glorious image showing the whole Pipmen world. From painting rainbows in the sky to digging tunnels far beneath the earth the Pipmen are always up to something. It's just a really cool deck of cards. Check it out.

:star: Mapforge - is a piece of software for drawing tile/grid-based tactical maps for an RPG setting. Given my newfound love of RPGs this looks really cool. There's a prototype that I haven't downloaded yet but I'm keen to give it a go. I backed Infinitas DM last year and this would work together with MapForge quite well I think.

With complication one player give me +1 die so now I have 4+1 and him only 3.

1) If I go in quarantine I keep 2+1 ?

2) If I declare me "infect", I keep only 2 or 2+1 ? 3) And if his only 2 the player who give me the die return back at starting quota 4 ?

My answer are :

1) 2+1
2) Only 2
3) No I have 2 and him 3

TPG - just started playing Artisans. Thank you so much for creating and then sharing this game. I love small-footprint, economic solitaire games and am already finding this to be great fun. The rulebook is really well written, BTW.
