I just received my copy today. I seem to have the opposite issue, I have the first 11 instruction cards but I don’t have card #12, the status effect tracker. After reading the rules, this seems like it will make tracking the status effects much harder without this card.

Is there a way the model could be split in half? My print bed is too small.

In the Thingiverse link there are files to print the tray in two separate halves to accommodate smaller beds.

There should be an instructions deck included - it’s really not there?

Yeah, my copy went from card "96 - Chapter Six" to "12 - Status Effects Tracker" and then the Ally cards. Thanks for the link! That got me going, but it would be nice to have the printed cards for the game. Is there a support link or some process to get replacements?

I have only had time to play the first encounter, but it looks like a really fun game. Thx!

Hey folks,

I may have missed something in the instructions, but I didn't see anything that told me how do manage the Action Deck. I assume we shuffle it during setup, but do we shuffle it before each encounter?

What happens to an Action card after it is used during the Enemy's turn? Does it go into a discard pile, or is it shuffled back into the deck? If it goes in a discard pile, do we shuffle the discard pile to form a new Action Deck if it is empty?

Thanks!

This line on page 4 really confused me because I have read the designer saying all workers must be returned to the safe house at the end of the day or get arrested and removed from the game if they are blocked.

So I reread the rules and saw that it is only ‘activated’ workers that have to do this. Does this mean if I have a worker who gets blocked I can chose not to ‘activate’ him that turn and that will prevent him having to try and return to the safe house/get arrested.

Also I realised that a worker on a space with no actions (like Pont du Nord) have nothing to be ‘activated’ for - does this mean one placed there they remain in place until either they are arrested or the game ends?

Some clarification of this would be really helpful.

Thanks
R

Activating means that they can tale the action (or effect) of the space they occupy. This happens during the action phase, while placement happens in the previous (placement) phase. Each worker must be activated each turn, even if she produces nothing or have no effect.

There are 2 missions that require workers to remain in a location for multiple turns, ‘Infiltration’ and ‘Coded Messages’.

Well done,
Not well known Wargames like this one deserve some kind of attention.
I still hope for an OCS wargame concerning Yugoslavian and Greece campaign! And maybe another one for Pokand one...

From what I recall, activated means that you're putting them in a location. So, basically, if you send them to a location and they cannot get back, they're arrested. You cannot "choose" or "choose not to" activate them. You simply have the choice to either send them somewhere or not, and if you do and they get blocked, then you lose them.

This, yes. Strictly activation happens in the phase after placement - so all your workers are placed, all the patrols are placed, and you must then go and activate each worker whether you like it or not. As the worker activates they can optionally perform the action on their space, but then they must return to a safe house or be arrested. You get to choose the order in which your workers activate - which may be relevant if you need to e.g. fetch a Weapon resource in order to shoot a way out for another worker, or build a Safe House spare room that another worker can use - but you don't get to choose whether or not to activate them.

The exception to this is, as Roel Noorman mentions, the missions which explicitly state your worker remains on the mission card for some defined period of time. A worker that is remaining on a mission card counts towards your total number of workers when you're determining how many patrols to use, but doesn't get placed or activate each turn. When those workers stop remaining (once a second worker is sent to complete the mission in the case of Infiltration; on a specific day in the case of Coded Messages) they still need to return to a safe house on that day or get arrested.

I'm a first time poster so please be gentle! I moved my morale tracker down a space when I hit day 6 and as I had medicine and food I thought I would visit the Poor District to increase morale and reduce the number of patrols. My question is this, can I increase my morale tracker as soon as I place a worker thus having one less patrol or does this only kick in the following day meaning I have to put out the full compliment of patrols?

Downloaded this as PnP and I'm keen to get this as the proper published game as it's a brilliant little game!

Thanks in advance.
